Donna was born in Boston in 1960. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1982 and worked as a nurse for 13 years before being an at-home mom for her children. She received a Master's of Fine Art in Fine Art from The School of Visual Arts in 2014, after studying undergraduate art and art history at SVA and Columbia University.

Exhibitions include Petzel Gallery, Freight and Volume,The Fashion Institute of Technology, Radiator Gallery, Chashama, Art in Odd Places. She has had solo shows at Leo Kesting in 2010 and Azart in 2014.

Donna was reviewed by Roberta Smith of the NYTimes, Hyperallergic, Rhizome, Artefuse and more. Residencies include MASS MoCA, Mildred's Lane, (where she has also been a visiting guest artist for the last 4 years), chaNorth and Cill Rialaig in Kerry, Ireland.

Donna engages in Herbalism as Social Practice, launching her own shop in February of 2017 after training as an herbalist for 3 years. She is currently studying to be a Shaman (Geilt) in the Irish Tradition.

She also writes the popular blog, Chronicles Of A Witch In Training where she shares insights about Herbalism, Health and life.

Transforming her living space into 184 Project Space a few times a year allows her to create opportunities for emerging artists and curators.
