1. What is Ginkgo Biloba?

Ginkgo has been used by Chinese and Japanese herbalists for 5000+ years. Laboratory research has found that Ginkgo works on circulation, particularly on micro circulation - those areas of the body where the blood vessels are so tiny that sometimes blood doesn't circulate properly. Ginkgo relaxes and widens these blood vessels, allowing the blood to flow better. This includes the brain and ears, help with brain function, tinnitus and hearing loss, the eyes for vision and the arms and legs for decreased circulation in these areas. Ginkgo also contains an MAO inhibitor, which is used for depression.

New research suggests Ginkgo might help us survive radiation exposure.

Herbalists look at the characteristics of a plant to see what benefits it has to humans. Ginkgo is the oldest living plant on the planet. The trees can live upwards of 2000+ years surviving radiation, meteors, extremes of cold and heat. It is the only plant that survived the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and has been found as a fossil dating back 270 million years.

For a synergistic effect, I’ve added Sage and Rosemary to this tincture. Both are brain tonics.

2. Who is making this tincture.

I worked as an Registered Nurse for 13 years in a Major Teaching Hospital in Boston and am now trained as an Herbalist. I am a level 3 Apprentice under master Herbalist Karen Rose of Sacred Vibes Apothecary.

3. Research

Here is some research from the University of Maryland Medical Center an NIH (National Institute of Health) website about Ginkgo.

4. What is in the tincture?

I've extracted Gingko and its companions Rosemary and Sage - other brain tonics, with Nettles and Oatstraw, which help deliver the medicine, aid in its absorption and add nutrients such as Iron, Calcium and trace minerals. The gingko leaves were gathered from Gingko Biloba trees in Brooklyn, where I live. I carefully chose those at the peak of their healing property content. I grew the Rosemary and Sage and harvested the Nettles in Wassaic, NY (upstate).

This tincture comes in a 1 oz or 2 oz dark amber bottle with dropper.
Suggested use - 20-30 drops under your tongue and then swallow, once a day. Shake well before use.

Do not take Ginkgo if you are on a blood thinner or take Aspirin, Ibuprofen or Naproxen regularly. Stop taking before surgery. Do not take while pregnant or breastfeeding.
